The 2007 Filigno is an interesting cuvee of Inzolia, one of Sicily’s native varieties, and Viognier. This perfumed, floral white offers lovely length on the palate, with fresh minty notes that linger on the finish. Ideally the wine is best enjoyed over the next year or two. Anticipated maturity: 2009-2011. Baglio di Pianetto is the Sicilian property of the Marzotto family, who are best known for their highly successful lifestyle brands. The vineyards are located in Pachino, in the province of Siracusa, and Santa Cristina Gela, near Palermo.
