Deep garnet colored, the 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon Menzies displays notes of creme de cassis, blueberry preserves and Chinese dried plums with underlying hints of sauteed herbs and aged meat. Medium to full-bodied it gives a very good concentration of muscular fruit that is supported by medium to firm grainy tannins and balanced acid before finishing long. Drink it now to 2021+.
