The 2013 Cuatro Rayas Verdejo has a balsamic profile with aromas of bay leaf and aromatic herbs intermixed with notes of lemon and hay. Clean and fresh, reflecting the character of the growing season, with barely enough acidity and concentration, very light with a pleasant dry, bitter finish. Drink now.
Agricola Castellana is the cooperative from La Seca, one of the main wine-producing villages in Rueda, but has members from 30 different villages within the appellation, who cultivate a total of 2,100 hectares of vineyards. Their Cuatro Rayas brand is known for delivering good quality at very competitive prices. They produce a whopping 17 million bottles of wine per year. Quite light wines in 2013.
