Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2009 Redbank Cabernet Sauvignon presents a youthfully primary nose of ripe black currant, black plums and crushed blueberries with nuances of cedar, nutmeg, cinnamon stick and milk chocolate. Medium bodied and tightly wound, it is well structured with crisp acid and medium-firm grainy tannins, finishing long and spicy. Still a little closed and taut, it needs another year or two in bottle, drinking best 2013-2022+.
