From cask, I thought Fonroque produced an excellent wine in 1992, with a deep ruby color, a big, spicy, earthy, meaty, roasted nose, and ripe, medium-bodied flavors. Now that the wine has been bottled, it is savagely tannic, already devoid of fruit, and a sure bet to dry out over the next 3-4 years. A charmless wine, it is all muscle and no brains. Pass it by.
