One of the stars in the vintage, the 2014 Rasteau Vieilles Vignes is a terrific blend of 65% Grenache, 25% Syrah and 10% Mourvèdre that was completely destemmed and raised mostly in concrete tanks (10% of the Syrah was aged in two-year-old barrels). Medium to full-bodied, rich, inky-colored and about as concentrated as they get in the vintage, it has impressive notes of currants, scorched earth, chocolate and licorice. It will have a decade of overall longevity.
