Naly’s 2005 Chateauneuf du Pape has lots of sweet and sour cherries, sappy underbrush and hints of flowers to go with a medium-bodied, fresh and enjoyable feel on the palate. Made from 60% Grenache, 25% Syrah and the rest Counoise, Cinsault, Mourvèdre and other permitted varieties, it lacks a touch of mid-palate depth, but is a delicious effort that’s drinking at point.
