Looking at the 2011 reds, the 2011 Cherry Red is a Zinfandel dominated effort that incorporates 24% Syrah and 19% Mourvedre. Coming all from the Cherry Vineyard, it is a medium-bodied, elegant effort that has juicy acidity, perfumed black cherry, dried cranberry, white pepper and bramble-driven aromatics and building richness. Very drinkable and lively, it’s an impressive Paso Blend that’s loaded with character. Drink 2014-2021. This was a fantastic lineup of wines by proprietor Matt Trevisan and all of the current releases have brilliant purity of fruit and a lively, energetic feel without ever coming across as lean.
