Soy sauce, black cherries, and hints of plums can be found in the nose of the 2002 Marsannay Les Longeroies. This rich, satin-textured wine was harvested on the 17th of September (at 13.45% natural potential alcohol), before the massive storm that struck its commune and neighboring Fixin. Lush, fresh, and sumptuously textured, it slathers the palate with blackberry jam, mocha, and dark cherry paste. Even though it has a super-ripe flavor profile, this beauty is fresh and well-balanced. Drink it over the next 5-6 years.
