The intensely oaky 2012 Crianza is pure Tempranillo from diverse vineyards, fermented in stainless steel and matured in barrel for 14 months. There are notes of fresh wood, spices and smoke; it's very balsamic with a core of ripe black fruit. The palate is quite intense and shows the effect of the aging quite a lot, with plenty of oak-related flavors and a dusty texture with abundant tannins. Leave it in bottle for a better integration of the wood. 800,000 bottles produced.

Kirsch and chocolate flavors have a slightly candied character in this red, which has a lean, polished texture supported by firm tannins and racy acidity. Drink now through 2018. 80,000 cases made, 200 cases imported.??–TM??Region: Spain / Ribera del Duero Select to Add
