Drunk from magnum, Tollot-Beaut's 1980 Corton Bressandes Grand Cru is showing very well, mingling notes of red berries, cherries and plums with aromas of espresso roast, warm spices and loamy soil. Medium to full-bodied, fleshy and enveloping, with a generous core of fruit, fine concentration and largely melted tannins, it's giving and seductive, at the peak of its powers today.
