The Gattavecchi 2019 Vernaccia di San Gimignano is an easygoing and fresh expression with citrus, honeydew melon and pear. The wine reveals background notes of chalk board, dried sage and light spice. This is a lively and versatile Vernaccia that could pair with a summer salad of endive, corn, grilled chicken and avocado. There are salty mineral notes on the finish. Some 60,000 bottles were made.
