This is the best wine the Comte Armand has produced since the beautiful 1985. It is intensely colored with a huge bouquet of red and black fruits, spicy new oak, and an intriguing earthy, terroir character. In the mouth, it is splendidly concentrated and full bodied with good acidity. There is plenty of tannin in the finish. This is a large-scaled, yet graceful and well-balanced, Pommard that can be drunk over the next 10-12 years.
