2017 was a year of frost and drought in Rueda, and the 2017 Basa, a blend of Verdejo with 10% Viura, saw lower yields and an early harvest. This is a cuvée fermented and matured in stainless steel and bottled unoaked. The dry year provoked an early harvest. It's an approachable wine, with a reductive tendency; it's affordable, dry, easy to drink and soft, with a round palate, integrated acidity and clean flavors. This is the only volume wine from the company. 426,000 bottles produced.
