The 1999 Chardonnay (1,297 cases) sees about 55% new French oak. It enjoys full malolactic, has its lees stirred, and uses indigenous yeasts to ferment the Chardonnay must. Powerful and concentrated, with plenty of fat, leesy, tropical fruit flavors, gorgeous flesh, and notes of honey, toast, smoke, and minerals, it should be consumed over the next 2 years.
