The 2010 Barbera d’Alba flows with freshly cut flowers, red berries, spices and licorice, all supported by finessed, silky tannins. This delicious, refreshing Barbera is best enjoyed in its vinous youth. It is a fabulous wine at this level. Anticipated maturity: 2011-2015.
In top vintages such as 2010, Elio Altare’s entry-level wines are as good as it gets within their respective categories and price ranges.
