If you really get into Langhe Nebbiolo as I do, you're going to appreciate this hot-vintage expression from Paolo Conterno. The 2017 Langhe Nebbiolo A Mont shows a dense and thick textural fiber. Made from youngish 20-year-old vines, it also boasts a 15% alcohol content. Nebbiolo prefers a cooler growing season for sure, but it fares well here both in terms of freshness and focus. It is concentrated and rich, but this wine has the bones to pair with grilled pork chops or roasted chicken. Some 12,000 bottles were released last year.
