The 2006 Roda Reserva reveals toasty black fruits, Asian spices, incense, and blackberry aromas. This is followed by a forward, succulent wine that has enough structure to evolve for 2-3 years but which can be approached now. Bodegas Roda is one of the quality leaders in Rioja. They have embarked on a couple of new projects, the first being the production of an entry-level Rioja named Sela. The second new Roda project is the development of two wines from Ribera del Duero made from100% Tempranillo.
