The Vosne-Romanee aux Brulees is exceptional. I have tasted it three times since it was bottled, twice rating it a 90 and once an 88. This is a wine of surprising power, richness, length, and concentration. After tasting this wine, no one would ever believe that 1987 is a so-called off year for red burgundy. It should drink well for over a decade, and displays a rich, smoky, roasted, ripe berry-scented bouquet and long, velvety, rich flavors.
