The 2008 Azagador Reserva is raised in 70% American and 30% French oak for 12 months. It has a lifted, balsamic-tinged bouquet with soft raspberry, mushroom, singed leather and clove aromas that are simple but nicely defined. The palate is well-balanced with lifted strawberry and red cherry aromas. There is certainly a level up from the Crianza, with more structure and fruit concentration on the finish. Fine. Drink now-2016. Pago de la Jaraba have been commercializing wine since the 2001 vintage from around 85hectares of mainly Tempranillo (with no out-sourced fruit) located between Villarrobledo and El Provencio.
