The 2007 Sauvignon Blanc has a well-defined lime and gooseberry-tinged nose with apple blossom emerging in the glass, the palate with herbaceous tones that never dominate this well-crafted wine. For a long time, winemaker/consultant Matt Thomson had been searching for a suitable site in Marlborough to start his joint-venture with David Gleave MW and when he finally discovered a triangular-shaped hill to the west of Blenheim in 2000, the dream turned reality. (New Zealand) Big, green,juicy nose. Full palate and good concentration. Lots of fruit but well balanced - not too sweet.
