The 2004 Condrieu Grand Vallon is spectacular. From the St.-Pierre de Boeuf commune (where the soils are primarily decomposed granite and quartz), this effort displays striking minerality along with gorgeously intense fruit (apricots, nectarines, melons, and litchi), beautiful acidity, good grip, and a long, well-defined, heady finish. Drink it over the next 2-3 years.
