Barrel fermented and aged for 12 months in Burgundian oak, 15% new, the 2009 Chardonnay offers expressive tropical fruit aromas of guava and ripe pineapple over warm apricots, toasted almonds and cedar. Light to medium bodied with crisp acid, it gives decent flavor concentration and good balance with a long toasty finish. Drinking now, it should keep through 2014.
