The 2021 Erdener Treppchen Riesling Kabinett was picked in the middle of October at 86° Oechsle. Fermented up to 8.5% alcohol with 57.2 grams per liter of residual sugar, the nose is finely complex, slightly reductive and pure, stimulating, clear and slate-driven, with elegant and fresh but ripe fruit aromas. Round and lush on the palate, this is a crystalline, sweet and salty, stimulatingly piquant and persistently saline-finishing Kabinett with intense, sweet fruit that needs some years to full intertwine with the body and terroir-driven structure of this potentially delicious Treppchen.
