Subdued, but still aromatic with straightforward, grapy, white currant flavors intermixed with hints of pears and grapefruits is the 2001 Tocai Friulano. This light to medium-bodied effort possesses excellent acidity and freshness, and no evidence of wood (and it's all the better for it). Drink it over the next year.
