The 2007 Borsao Crianza Seleccion is made up of 50% Garnacha, 25% Tempranillo, and 25% Cabernet Sauvignon aged for 10 months in French and American oak. Dark ruby-colored, it displays a perfume of red and black fruits, spice box, leather, and violets. In the mouth it leans toward elegance while also providing plenty of grip and concentration. This is a really good example of a blended wine from Aragon. It’s 50% Garnacha with 25% each Tempranillo and Cabernet Sauvignon, and thus it is more complex and interesting than your run-of-the-mill varietal Grenache.
