Smoky minerals, white flowers, and herbal teas are revealed in the nose of the 2000 Riesling Smaragd Freiheit. This excellent wine has a rich, expansive character filled with ripe white fruits. Even though it is fat and thick it retains lovely balance and detail. Projected maturity: Now-2010. Subscribers who are inspired to visit the breathtakingly beautiful Wachau after reading this report should note that there are two Jamek estates in Joching.
