The 1998 St.-Joseph has been aged primarily in cuve, with about a third of the blend in used oak barrels. A dark ruby/purple-colored, low acid, impressively-endowed wine, it possesses jammy notes of black fruits, dried herbs, spice, and licorice. Abundant fruit dominates this hedonistic wine's personality. It should drink well for 5-6 years. No known American importer.
