The 2003 Sango de Rejadorada is 100% Tinta de Toro sourced from an 82-year-old vineyard and aged for 18 months in French oak. It is a glass-coating opaque purple with youthful aromas of smoke, toast, scorched earth, espresso, blackberry, and black raspberry. Medium to full-bodied, it has good intensity of black fruits, excellent depth, and a firm structure. The finish is long and noticeably tannic. It will require 6-8 years of bottle age to round out but may always be a bit austere.Importers: Chris Campbell, C & P Wines, New York, NY; tel.
