The 2007 Il Sole di Alessandro (Cabernet Sauvignon) is dominated by massive new oak tannins that convey a sense of total astringency. I find little of the charm of the vintage in this compact, unyielding wine. Anticipated maturity: 2012-2017. These new releases from Castello di Querceto are a bit of a mystery.
