Slightly richer and more substantial, yet still balanced and elegant, the 2011 Hermitage Blanc is comprised of 60% Marsanne and 40% Roussanne and spent 18 months in 40% new oak. Rich, mineral-laced and with copious golden fruits, honeysuckle and vanilla bean nuances, it hits the palate with medium to full-bodied richness, great acidity and a big finish. Enjoy it over the coming 5-7 years (although it will probably last much longer).
This was a rock solid lineup from this tiny, family owned estate.
