The 2006 Termes is inky black with an enticing perfume of mineral, spice box, leather, and blackberry. Succulent, concentrated, and impeccably balanced, it has enough structure to blossom for another 2-3 years but can be approached now.
Bodegas Numanthia-Termes was sold by the Eguren family to Moet-Hennessey prior to the 2006 vintage. What this might ultimately mean for quality or style of the wine remains to be seen but there is no questioning the performance of the 2006 and 2007 vintages.
