A good effort from a difficult vintage, the 2014 Gigondas la Combe des Marchands (80% Grenache, 15% Syrah and 5% Mourvèdre) was brought up in a mix of concrete tanks and older barrels. It offers a forward, medium-bodied, straightforward, yet certainly delicious style in its darker fruits, spice and garrigue aromas and flavors. Drink it over the coming 2-5 years.
