The dense ruby/purple-hued 2006 Crozes-Hermitage offers an intriguing bouquet of black olives, incense, cedar, roasted herbs, and cassis. Medium-bodied and nicely concentrated with silky tannins and decent acidity, it can be drunk over the next 6-7 years. Another member of the Chave family (Yann is not related to the Chave family of Mauves), this producer appears to be producing better and better wines with each vintage.Importer: Peter Weygandt, Weygandt-Metzler, Unionville, PA; tel.
