Sweet dried cherries, anise, tobacco and leather are some of the notes that take shape in the 2009 Barbaresco. This attractive, mid-weight Barbaresco possesses lovely balance along with an approachable personalty that makes it an excellent choice for drinking over the next handful of years. Hints of crushed flowers and sweet herbs linger on the pretty finish. Anticipated maturity: 2013-2019.
Socre is one of the most interesting young estates in Barbaresco. At their best, the wine offers considerable quality for the money.
