The 2006 Pinot Noir “Whole Cluster Fermented” is always a crowd-pleaser, particularly in what looks to be a terrific vintage. The wine underwent carbonic maceration and was raised in stainless steel. It has a fragrant strawberry and raspberry perfume followed by a big mouthful of sweet, ripe fruit. Nicely balanced, this is truly a wine of pleasure at a great price. Drink it over the next 2-3 years. Tel. (503) 588-9463; www.wvv.com. Also tasted: 2005 Pinot Noir, Oregon (80), 2005 Pinot Noir “Estate Vineyard,” Willamette Valley (83)
