The 1995 Pinot Noir Whole Berry Fermented is an explosive fruit ball. It will never be that complex, but for pure, decadent, hedonistic, lush, velvety-textured Pinot, it offers copious quantities of fat, sweetly extracted, ripe fruit. It is a sexy, lush wine for drinking during its first 1-2 years of life. I am sad to write that the young, talented winemaker, Dean Cox, tragically passed away just after the 1995 vintage. He had pioneered the whole berry fermentation for this winery, which has produced a succession of gorgeously rich, fruity, seductive Pinot Noirs that have proven to be hugely successful with consumers.Tel.
