The medium to dark ruby-colored 1999 Santenay Grand Clos Rousseau has sweet, sur-maturite-laced, red fruit aromas. It is medium-bodied, lush, has excellent depth of fruit, and is pure, harmonious, as well as well-balanced. Loads of raspberries, candied strawberries, and cherries can be found throughout this wine's character, as well as in its long, soft finish. Drink this lovely Santenay over the next 5-6 years.
