An outstanding Cornas, the 2013 Cornas les Murettes has impressive levels of fruit and texture to go with lots of plum, meaty black cherries, violets and peppery herbs. Much more approachable than the Terres d’Arce release, it has medium to full-bodied richness, nicely integrated acidity and a delicious, easy drinking style that's ideal for enjoying anytime over the coming 7-8 years. Note that this comes all from the Sabarotte lieu-dit, was completely destemmed and spent 12 months in two- to three-year-old barrels. It’s high quality and well worth checking out.
