The black/ruby-colored 2009 Cornas Les Murettes exhibits an elegant bouquet of blueberries, blackberries, truffles, camphor, asphalt and peppery, meaty notes. Elegant and ripe with excellent to outstanding depth and richness, it requires 2-4 years of cellaring and should drink well for 20 years.
From their holdings in three major appellations, St.-Joseph, Cornas and Crozes-Hermitage, Michelas St.-Jemms produces an impressive array of wines. Moreover, prices are extremely reasonable.
