A good effort for the vintage, the 2008 Cornas Les Murettes is a dark ruby-hued, superficially fruity, lightly tannic, seductive red exhibiting notes of earth, licorice, pepper, meat and black cherries. It is ideal for drinking over the next 4-5 years. Domaine Michelas St.-Gemme, which is located in Beaume le Michelas, has holdings in St.-Joseph, Cornas and Crozes-Hermitage. No known American importer.
