The 2003 Echezeaux, the finest I’ve encountered at Domaine Grivot, comes forth with delightful aromas of fresh, sweet blackberries and violets. An ample, medium to full-bodied wine, it expands on the palate to display intensely powerful tar-laced black cherries. Satin-textured and impeccably ripe, it vaunts impressive depth, concentration, and a long finish studded with structure-providing tannin. This exceptional Echezeaux should be drunk between 2010 and 2020+.
