This wine possesses a saturated dark ruby/purple color and the bouquet offers up floral, blueberry/raspberry, and mineral notes. Ripe and full-bodied, with a layered texture, it easily hides its lofty 14.9% alcohol. One of my favorite Rosenblum offerings, it should be consumed over the next 5-6 years. Rosenblum's 1996s are consistently successful. They reflect the short, hot growing season as they do not possess very much length.
