Unquestionably the finest Zinfandel produced by Dr. Rosenblum in 1993 is the George Hendry Reserve Zinfandel. It exhibits a saturated dark ruby/purple color, and a superb nose of pure, jammy black-raspberries, minerals, and oak. With excellent definition and focus, a fleshy, chewy, medium to full-bodied palate, and a long, fruity finish, it should drink well for 10-12 years.
Are there any other veterinarians making wines this good? Dr. Rosenblum's Midas touch with Zinfandel has been evident for a number of years and I am delighted to report that it continues with the 1993s.
