In 1994, Rosenblum has again hit the jackpot with a bevy of textbook Zinfandels. The most impressive Rosenblum offerings are their single vineyard wines. The 1994 Zinfandel George Hendry Vineyard Reserve reveals an impressively saturated purple color, sweet, jammy notes of black fruits, earth, and wood, a terrific mouthfeel, with a multi-layered, unctuous texture, and an inner-core of sweet, ripe fruit. This massive, rich, backstrapping Zinfandel should drink well for 7-8 years. Like all the Rosenblum Zinfandels, its hallmarks are purity, richness, balance, and a savory, mouthfilling fullness.
