Perret’s 2006 Condrieu Coteau du Chery, which is vinified in steel and old oak (about two-thirds), is one of the greatest Condrieus ever made. A monumental bouquet of honeysuckles, white currants, crushed rocks, spring flowers, and a touch of almond paste soars from the glass. The wine boasts dazzling levels of fruit, full body, zesty acidity, and a 40-second finish. This is a sensational wine to drink over the next 2-3 years.
