The Bodega’s flagship is Cenit and spends 19 months in new French oak. The 2008 Cenit, from a cool but excellent vintage, offers up a splendid bouquet of exotic spices, lavender, incense, mocha, and blackberry. For a large-scaled wine, it is remarkably light on its feet and elegant. Intense, concentrated, and exceptionally lengthy, it will easily see its 20th birthday in fine form. Tierra del Vino de Zamora should have been included in the Toro DO but was overlooked when the boundaries were drawn. It is located approximately 40 kilometers south of Toro. Vinas del Cenit has 97 acres of Tempranillo vines, 15% of which are ungrafted and over 100+ years of age.Importer: Aviva Vino, New York, NY; Tel. (212) 244-4495
