The 1999 Batard-Montrachet reveals loads of super-ripe yellow/white fruits and nuts in its aromatics. Light to medium-bodied and well-made, it has excellent depth to its oily-textured character. Poached pears, ripe Red Delicious apples, and hints of apricots can be discerned in its flavorful character. Drink it over the next 7 years.
