The dense ruby/purple-colored 2004 Shiraz The Distance exhibits plenty of blackberry and cassis fruit as well as smoke, graphite, and pepper characteristics. A big, dark, brooding style, with a core of black cherry and peppery licorice flavors. This is balanced with tangy acidity, finishing with a supple, polished texture.
