The lineup begins with a terrific Rose, the 2007 Les Sorts Rosat, a blend of 90% Garnacha and 10% Carinena. Dark pink in color, it offers enticing floral and cherry aromas leading to a full-flavored, concentrated wine with excellent balance and length. It should pair well with a wide variety of foods over the next 12-18 months Celler El Masroig, located in the up-and-coming region of Montsant, is a role model for how a cooperative ought to function. The winery keeps only the best grapes and sells off the rest to other producers, some of whom are quite well known.
